December / Winterbreak Events

HAPPY HOLIDAYS SHPE MEMBERS,

Hope Finals are going good for everyone =]

We have a few announcements before the semester officially ends.

TOYS FOR KIDS (Guillermo and America)

SHPE UH adopted two kids Guillermo is 9 and America is 2. They are in need of a few items to make it through the year. Guillermo likes legos, cars and hot wheels. He wears size 10 child shirts/jacket and 8 slim in pants. America likes Elmo and Barney and wears toddler size 2T. Things to donate include new clothes, toys and books or money.

Donations are due this Friday Dec 10th. Let’s help make Guillermo and America’s Holiday Season.

Tuesday December 28th Kids Meals.org

SHPE is teaming up with the Kidsmeals foundation to help prepare Meals for children, Assemble and deliver the lunches, Prepare bags of fruits, vegetables, and groceries. Space is limited to only 20 volunteers. A head count will be needed by December 23rd!!! Facebook event has been created, information and directions have been posted on the event page. We have 12 people confirmed so only 8 spots are left.

SHPE ON ICE

Come ice skating with SHPE on Thursday January 6th at Discovery Green!! Even if the ice is too much for you, socialize with other SHPE members while drinking some hot choco. The movie Happy Feet will also be playing on the Big Screen.
