The SHPE National Conference will be held in Anaheim, CA from October 26-30 (website). This is a great opportunity for students to network with corporate representatives. Also at the conference there will be a career fair with over 200 companies and universities. Graduate students can attend this conference for FREE.
1. Travel grant application that covers registration costs and $300 for travel.
The application is due by Friday, September 9th. Attached is the form and a description of the Graduate Institute at the Conference. Please spread the word to every graduate student. Below is a brief description of the Graduate Institute at conference:Requirements:

- 500 word essay (academic and professional goals as a latino student)
- Resume
- SHPE membership ($5)
2. Paper & Poster Competition: Graduate students will receive a registration waiver and $300 travel stipend by presenting there research. Abstract are due by September 16. For more information see the attachment or
