When? Saturday, August 6th 2011, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Team sign-up begins at 9:00 AM, First game Kick Off at 9:15 AM)
Where to Play? BP Energy Park (540 Westlake Park Blvd, Houston, TX 77079) - Corner of Memorial Dr and Westlake Park Blvd
Where to Park? BP Westlake Employees - Westlake 1 Parking Garage / Others - Next to Energy Park Soccer Fields (540 Westlake Park Soccer Fields)
Why? Have fun, network, get to know about BP's Diversity and Inclusion efforts, and have some delicious Texas BBQ for lunch
What to bring? Sports clothing (light shorts and shirts recommended due to possible high temperatures - pennies will be provided), shin guards (we will have a limited number available), tennis shoes (no cleats allowed). Sports drinks and sunscreen will be provided during the game.
Depending on the number of participants, we expect to hold 8 minute games tournament style (first round, quarter finals, semifinals, finals), with 7 total players per team, with a minimum of 2 ladies per team.

The SHPE Conference Competitions are a great opportunity to not only showcase your talent to recruiters and other attendees but to also put your skills to the test.
These competitions provide undergraduate and graduate participants an opportunity to compete by delivering their research in written and oral form before an audience of their peers.
Is a non-stop 24-hour competition that engages teams against each other to find out who can out-design, out-develop, and out-promote the others in a race against time, talent and creativity.
This two-stage competition tests the engineering, math and science knowledge of SHPE Student Chapter teams from across the nation.
The SHPE Foundation Design Competition is intended to simulate creative, intellectual and entrepreneurial spirit; develop technical presentation skills; and instill cooperation essential in a technical design project. Competitors must research, design, build, and test a marketable product and write a relevant technical paper within an allotted time frame.
Volunteers will receive a shirt and snack and be entered into the volunteer raffle which offers $1000 in gift certificates and one (1) airline ticket to anywhere in the US and PR.
