IPC - Intership Opportunties for Grads & Graduating Seniors


Hello SHPE Graduates & Graduating Seniors,

Please see the two internship opportunities being offered by SHPE Industrial PartnerSHPE Council (IPC) members, NASA and Procter & Gamble (P&G). NASA is seeking applications for the agency’s new Space Technology Research Fellowships; the deadline is February 23, 2011. P&G is looking for summer interns that are graduating seniors applying for graduate study. Further details on each opportunity are below.


MESSAGE FROM NASA

Dear SHPE Graduates,

Are you looking for an opportunity to work on a project that is meaningfully related to your classroom and research education?

NASA is seeking applications from graduate students for the agency's new Space Technology Research Fellowships. Applications are being accepted from accredited U.S. universities on behalf of graduate students interested in performing space technology research beginning in the fall of 2011.

The fellowships will sponsor U.S. graduate student researchers who show significant potential to contribute to NASA's strategic space technology objectives through their studies. Sponsored by NASA's Office of the Chief Technologist, the fellowships' goal is to provide the nation with a pipeline of highly skilled engineers and technologists to improve America's technological competitiveness. NASA Space Technology Fellows will perform innovative space technology research today while building the skills necessary to become future technological leaders.

Dear SHPE Graduate Students and Graduating Seniors,

Are you looking for an opportunity to work on a project that is meaningfully related to your classroom and research education?

Procter & Gamble (P&G) is looking for summer interns that are graduating seniors applying for graduate study, or graduate students already enrolled in a graduate program, primarily students pursuing Ph.Ds in chemistry, most areas of life sciences, chemical engineering, statistics, toxicology, and regulatory and clinical personnel.

As a P&G intern you have the ability to participate in their research work for about 10-12 weeks from June 1st through September 1st. Pay is competitive and depends on your years of experience.
