Good afternoon!

INROADS is a non-profit career development organization with a mission "to develop and place talented minority youth in business and industry and prepare them for corporate and community leadership."

I recently came across your contact information on the Student Representatives National list on the SHPE website and thought you may be qualified or know of qualified Latino college talent in your student chapters who would be interested in applying to our program.

Candidate qualifications are as follows:

·         US Citizen or Permanent Resident

·         Be a full time student enrolled in a 4 year degree program

·         Have at least two summers available prior to graduation - expected graduation date December 2012 or later to be considered for Summer 2011 internships

·         Have a cumulative gpa of 3.0 or better

·         Ideal candidates possess academic excellence, leadership and community service qualities

If you feel that you meet the requirements listed above, please feel free to visit our website, www.inroads.org and complete an on-line application.  It will require you to attach a resume and an unofficial copy of your transcript.  I am attaching the preferred resume format for you to follow.

INROADS APPLICATION PROCESS

One thing that we believe sets INROADS apart is that we not only provide a top-notch internship experience, we go above and beyond by helping our students with leadership and personal development skills.

A student who applies for an INROADS internship is first trained, mock interviewed and evaluated. Upon advancement in our process, the student is next matched to and interviewed by INROADS Corporate Clients who are the right fit for their interests and skills. Due to this advanced preparation that has helped our students to be successful, INROADS has been rated as one of America's Top Ten internship organizations for fifteen consecutive years (Princeton Review, Vault).

Upon receiving and accepting an internship offer, the student becomes an INROADS Intern and receives a paid summer internship ($10-$25/hour) in his/her major area of study. Scholarship opportunities, networking events, a corporate mentor and industry-specific training are additional benefits. Opportunities with INROADS are open across the U.S. and take place over 8-12 weeks, full-time in the summer. Companies for placement include Lockheed Martin, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young, UTC, MetLife, Liberty Mutual, Target, Aldi, Limited Brands, IBM, JP Morgan Chase and others. All majors are eligible.  Students with an interest and/or experience in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Engineering, Sales, Insurance, Marketing, Business, Computer Technology, Store Management, Human Resources, Supply Chain, are highly encouraged to apply.

Please contact me should you have any questions.
